COSMETIC PHYSICIAN PERFORMED PROCEDURES
BOTOX® Cosmetic: BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those frown lines between the brows to form over time. A few tiny injections—and within days there's a noticeable improvement in moderate to severe lines, which can last up to 4 months. Results may vary. It is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Candela Perfecta Laser: Perfecta laser is a pulsed dye laser that treats redness of the face and neck, rosacea, sun/age spots, scars, stretch marks, and warts. It delivers an intense but gentle burst of light into selectively targeted areas of the skin. The light is absorbed by specific blood vessels or melanin pigmented areas in the dermis depending on the condition being treated. Factors such as the age, color and type of lesions, as well as the location on the body, all determine whether lesions can be removed.

PHYSICIAN PRESCRIBED TREATMENTS
Narrowband UVB therapy: The ultraviolet (UV) rays in natural sunlight are UVA and UVB light. UVB light is the component that causes sunburns. It has been found that light within the narrow range of wavelengths, 310-315 nanometers, is the most effective against psoriasis. Hence, phototherapy that uses only this spectrum of UVB light is referred to as narrowband UVB therapy.
Excimer laser treatments: The Excimer laser creates a concentrated, but painless, beam of ultraviolet light that is delivered to psoriatic plaques through a hand piece that rests directly on the skin. By precisely targeting only specific plaques without exposing healthy skin, the laser safely delivers high-dose treatment for fast clearing and long remission.
Blue light treatments: This is a very special blue light that can kill the p. acnes bacteria in your skin. Treatments are simple - you simply sit with your face close to the light for a short time at a schedule set up by your doctor. After some weeks, the blue light can control your acne, or clear it up for a very long period. It is cleared by the FDA for treatment of moderate inflammatory acne vulgaris.
*Blue light is also used to treat actinic keratoses.
